Seller's To-Do's

Before selling a home there are a few things you must check off of your to-do list as a seller!

1. Declutter. That’s right, just the living spaces if possible. The potential seller must be able to view your home and envision their family and belongings in the space without all of the clutter.

2. Add a fresh coat of paint, something neutral and CLEAN!

3. Throw some candles in the mix, a clean cotton or fresh linen scent should make the home smell fresh. Target all the senses!

4. Clean up. Make sure everything is lemony fresh, bleached, and sparkling. This will go a long way.

5. Tighten up any loose ends. If you have loose handles, light bulbs out, or scuff marks… Take care of these small details.

These are just a few tips and tricks on how to get your home on the market and selling in no time… For the rest, just leave it to your special agent, Double 0 Plevin.

Real Estate & Fashion

Many of you may not know that I used to work in the New York fashion industry… Well, now you do! This is something I have carried with me throughout every chapter of life. I believe in dressing for success. Why not dress for your clients and your colleagues?

When it comes to fashion, your attire not only makes you feel good- But, may also draw the attention of peers in a fun and unique way! For example, … I may bust out a pair of colored, suede shoes at an event and end up with a new client. Why? Because fashion is a great conversation starter! “Hey, where did you get those loafers?”. “Wow, I love that color!”. See what I mean?

The point I am trying to make is simple… Use fashion to your advantage and have FUN! You may make a new friend that will help you grow in business, too!

Have a great day.

Real Estate Agent Vs. Realtor… Is There A Difference?

Some of you may be surprised at the broad difference between a Real Estate Agent and a Realtor… Let’s take a look!

A real estate agent is defined as “Anyone who earns a real estate license can be called a real estate agent, whether that license is as a sales professional, an associate broker or a broker. State requirements vary, but in all states you must take a minimum number of classes and pass a test to earn your license.” - Realtor.com

When a real estate agent wants to take it a step further, they become a licensed realtor.

A realtor is defined as “A real estate agent who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, which means that he or she must uphold the standards of the association and its code of ethics.”

As your special agent, 00Plevin, I am a proud Realtor!

Why purchase a home in Wellington?... Why NOT?!

The enticement of Wellington is an ever-growing. As a realtor and a resident of Wellington myself, I may be a tad bias, but... Allow me to share a few benefits to this enchanting community- no matter who you are:

·For the family: Do you have children? Wellington is the perfect place to raise a family. We have top of the line public and private schooling; not to mention community sports teams, public swimming pools and several parks. Don’t be surprised if you see a “food truck invasion” on any given day happening at our Wellington Amphitheatre. If you are looking for an area that feels safe and family friendly… Look no further!

·For the up and coming young professional: There is an overwhelming number of young professionals impacting the local economy with fresh entrepreneurism, early investing, and innovation. Also, there is no shortage of fun to be had between polo season, fine dining, and happy hours.

·For the senior community: Wellington is dedicated to keeping our seniors happy and taken care of. You have everything from a service center, classes to attend, to transportation if needed. This is not only a beautiful area to retire, but it is convenient as well!

·For the horse lover: Do you like to ride, compete, or simply play with horses? Wellington is one of the largest Equestrian hotspots in the world. If you have an itch to be amongst these majestic animals… Wellington is the place!

·For the beach bum: Take a 15-minute drive and you will arrive at your own tropical paradise. We may not all be able to purchase a beachfront home… But we can sure be close!

I hope you see why I love this little slice as heaven that we call Wellington. Thanks for reading!

Social Media & Business

Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and so much more… Welcome to the digital age my friends. When you are looking for a trendy new restaurant, you probably turn to Yelp. When you are looking for the most popular spot in town, you may check their Instagram to view the scene! Social Media is no longer for the internet gurus of the world. Businesses are using Social Media platforms to brand and grow their business! I am guilty of using these Social Media platforms for my real estate business. Today, I thought I would share some new tricks!

Post, post, post:

Your news feed is constantly changing every minute on the minute! If you are posting “occasionally”, your content will get lost in the traffic. Post consistently and make your mark!

Interact:

If someone comments on your post, don’t be shy… Reply! Get involved and answer the questions your followers are asking. This will go a long way when someone is thinking of hiring a friendly face for any service.

Your co-workers and colleagues are your friends! Like their pages and interact with them regularly, you are sure to get the same friendly treatment in return.

Go Live:

This new Facebook feature is groundbreaking. You can record LIVE through your smartphone and your followers can be right there with you. For a realtor, this feature is a huge benefit when dealing with properties and homes. Whatever business you are in, I encourage you to give this feature a try!

Hashtags are your friend:

Find a hashtag that works for you. Most importantly, find an original hashtag! This is essential in setting you and your business apart from the herd… Hence, #double0plevin!

I hope this was helpful, friends!

Have a great day.
